The Foundations.

Great song. By England's first interracial group, The Foundations. I know this is the original singer, but not sure how many of the members in the video are from The Foundations. Anywho... this song came up today at U of P.

Rockwell - Somebody's Watching Me

Michael Jackson did the chorus of this song. I always thought it was a great track.

Simpsons/Micheal Jackson Episode

My roomate Tyler just brought up this episode from way back when, I barely remembered it. There was this weird Simpsons episode that had a white guy who was Michael Jackson who did this song for Lisa's birthday. This version actually had MJ singing on it.

RIP - Michael Jackson

This is the Jackson Five's first 45 on Steeltown, "Big Boy."
I wish I owned this before today, it is probably going to sky rocket in value.

Pogues Video w/ Kristy MacColl

This is an Anita O'Day track with some other track at the end. Anywho...I thought I had seen everything by the Pogues. But I guess I haven't. Also... the Pogues have a brand new box set on Rhino that is five CD's that is really awesome!

The Pleasure Seekers feat. Suzi Quattro

This is probably the first all girl band in garage rock. The predecessor to The Runaways. My roomate Steve has this single. The lyrics are totally off the hook. It mentions Stroh's Beer! Anyways....I think all these girls are under 18, so similar to The Runaways in that aspect. Pretty awesome. They were out of Detroit and apparently a great live act. Suzi Quattro for those who don't know went on to have a pretty big solo career with an all male backing band. All girl groups just didn't get any respect back in the day, and they still kinda don't. Its just a male dominated arena. Not cool.

Eric Burdon & the Animals and WAR

My new roomate Steve is from Lafeyette, LA. And is really big on Eric Burdon. I never fully understood how amazing this man's bands are. I am learning quick though. Check out this classis with WAR.

Student Teaching (Sept. 1st - Nov. 25)

This is where I will be doing my first stint as a middle school math teacher. Jackson Middle School.
Its a Leonard Bernstein School of Artful Learning. Sounds like it is going to be awesome. Makes me think about the REM song, "Its the End of the World as We Know It," where it goes, "Leo-Nard-Bern-Stein."
