So, this is the original gospel hit that the great Ray Charles would re-work (sample if you will) and make his own with I Got A Woman. Its an amazing piece of music and earliest examples of sampling. Gospel music which came from the south would give rise to rhythm and blues and then soul and rock n roll. In a sense, its like all of this great music came directly from gospel, directly from music singing praise of god. God gave rock n roll to us! And Ray Charles made it okay to do, even though it wasnt at the time. God Bless Ray Charles. Its amazing to me that it took a blind black man, to have the ability to have the strength to sing his heart out, but then again he couldnt see color.
